Такими словами начинались статьи британской прессы, посвященные победе русской эскадры под командованием Павла Степановича Нахимова над отрядом турецкого флота Осман-паши, состоявшейся 30 (18 ст.ст.) ноября 1853 года.

Надо отметить, это была не просто славная победа русского оружия, это был традиционный для русско-турецких противостояний сокрушительный разгром противника. И столь выразительные эпитеты от наших заклятых родственничков с Туманного Альбиона не могут не звучать приятственно для русского уха.

Similarly, security researchers found a network of deepfake bots on the platform that were generating images of people submitted by users to create non-consensual imagery, some of which involved children. Perpetrators of these scams will create a public group on Telegram to promote these investment packages that are usually accompanied by fake testimonies and sometimes advertised as being Shariah-compliant. Interested investors will be asked to directly message the representatives to begin investing in the various investment packages offered. Emerson Brooking, a disinformation expert at the Atlantic Council's Digital Forensic Research Lab, said: "Back in the Wild West period of content moderation, like 2014 or 2015, maybe they could have gotten away with it, but it stands in marked contrast with how other companies run themselves today." Telegram has become more interventionist over time, and has steadily increased its efforts to shut down these accounts. But this has also meant that the company has also engaged with lawmakers more generally, although it maintains that it doesn’t do so willingly.
