Причинами резкого падения курса рубля стало сокращение экспорта в стране, рост импорта со стороны российских компаний, низкие цены на нефть и выборы в США. Ситуация с ростом доллара может усилиться, так как компании-импортеры традиционно в 4 квартале года увеличивают спрос на валюту.
