На InnoTrans экспонируется новое поколение региональных двухэтажных поездов для Австралии

Совместное предприятие Hyundai Rotem, Mitsubishi Electric Australia и UGL Rail показало на выставке в Берлине головной вагон электропоезда серии D (Mariyung). Подвижной состав выпускается заводе Hyundai Rotem в корейском Чханвоне.

Согласно контракту-2016 и реализованному к нему опциону-2021 всего должно быть поставлено 122 поезда: 61 шестивагонный и 61 четырехвагонный.

В зависимости от составности поезда смогут вмещать 982 и 642 пассажира соответственно. Их максимальная эксплуатационная скорость составляет 160 км/ч, ускорение – 0,8 м/с². В салоне находятся площадки для детских и инвалидных колясок, велосипедов и багажа.

Ввод в эксплуатацию в штате Новый Южный Уэльс планируется до конца декабря, что на 4 года позже запланированного срока. Задержки связаны в том числе с многочисленными дефектами, обнаруженными во время тестирования.
