Победу одержала Виктория Абрамченко от партии «Единая Россия». Она набрала 75,73% голосов (154 908). До этого она занимала пост заместителя председателя правительства России и не была связана с Ростовской областью. С лета 2024 года она занимала пост советника губернатора Василия Голубева.
Второе место заняла действующий депутат Наталья Оськина от КПРФ с результатом 11,28% голосов (23 069).
Третье место у Максима Фёдорова от «Справедливой России — За правду» с 4,44% голосов (9 075).

He floated the idea of restricting the use of Telegram in Ukraine and Russia, a suggestion that was met with fierce opposition from users. Shortly after, Durov backed off the idea. On February 27th, Durov posted that Channels were becoming a source of unverified information and that the company lacks the ability to check on their veracity. He urged users to be mistrustful of the things shared on Channels, and initially threatened to block the feature in the countries involved for the length of the war, saying that he didn’t want Telegram to be used to aggravate conflict or incite ethnic hatred. He did, however, walk back this plan when it became clear that they had also become a vital communications tool for Ukrainian officials and citizens to help coordinate their resistance and evacuations. He said that since his platform does not have the capacity to check all channels, it may restrict some in Russia and Ukraine "for the duration of the conflict," but then reversed course hours later after many users complained that Telegram was an important source of information. Lastly, the web previews of t.me links have been given a new look, adding chat backgrounds and design elements from the fully-features Telegram Web client. In 2018, Russia banned Telegram although it reversed the prohibition two years later.
