Groups are also not fully encrypted, end-to-end. This includes private groups. All of the same risks and warnings about channels can be applied to groups. However, the perpetrators of such frauds are now adopting new methods and technologies to defraud the investors. The CBOE Volatility Index, or VIX, has held at a lofty level of more than 30. In addition, Telegram's architecture limits the ability to slow the spread of false information: the lack of a central public feed, and the fact that comments are easily disabled in channels, reduce the space for public pushback. Individual messages can be fully encrypted. But the user has to turn on that function. It's not automatic, as it is on Signal and WhatsApp.
