Сама конференция перенесена на зиму из-за пандемии COVID-19. Но к решению задач некоторых проектов будущие участники конференции, а также все желающие школьники, могут приступить уже сейчас — это прекрасная возможность приобщиться к исследовательской работе, находясь у себя дома!

The preliminary correspondence part of the 32nd Summer conference of the Tournament of Towns has started.
The conference is postponed to winter 2020-2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. But future participants of the Conference, as well as all interested school students, have an opportunity to start solving the problems of some projects right now — this is a great opportunity to join the research work at home!
Detailed information and problems are already available on the Tournament's website. The conference invitation criteria and the list of invitees are also published there.

Right now the digital security needs of Russians and Ukrainians are very different, and they lead to very different caveats about how to mitigate the risks associated with using Telegram. They may value access to news and communication with their loved ones over making sure that all of their communications are encrypted in such a manner that they are indecipherable to Telegram, its employees, or governments with court orders. Ukrainian forces successfully attacked Russian vehicles in the capital city of Kyiv thanks to a public tip made through the encrypted messaging app Telegram, Ukraine's top law-enforcement agency said on Tuesday. Russians and Ukrainians are both prolific users of Telegram. They rely on the app for channels that act as newsfeeds, group chats (both public and private), and one-to-one communication. Since the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Telegram has remained an important lifeline for both Russians and Ukrainians, as a way of staying aware of the latest news and keeping in touch with loved ones. Oleksandra Matviichuk, a Kyiv-based lawyer and head of the Center for Civil Liberties, called Durov’s position "very weak," and urged concrete improvements. "Your messages about the movement of the enemy through the official chatbot … bring new trophies every day," the government agency tweeted.
