Алтайский школьник победил на первенстве Азии по шахматам и стал мастером ФИДЕ

17-летний учащийся барнаульской гимназии № 42 Владимир Юсупходжаев обыграл 34 соперника, в том числе мастеров ФИДЕ и более опытных шахматистов из Южной Кореи, Индии, Филиппин и Китая.

Победа в XVIII первенстве Азии, проходившем в Бангкоке, принесла россиянину звание мастера ФИДЕ.

Турнир в Таиланде стал первым международным опытом для Владимира Юсупходжаева. На соревнования он был отобран после победы на первенстве России.

Юноша увлекся шахматами еще до того, как пошел в первый класс. Его первыми учителями по интеллектуальной игре стали отец и дедушка. Сейчас Владимир готовится к соревнованиям в основном самостоятельно.
