По данным правозащитников, 27 марта 2024 года вышел на свободу Юрий Кузьмич. Приблизительно в эти же дни, по нашим подсчетам, освободился и Владимир Рубашевский.
Обоих брестчан судили за акцию протеста, которая прошла 10 августа 2020 в Бресте. Обоих приговорили к 4 годам колонии по статье 293 УК. Юрий Кузьмич отбывал свой срок в ИК-2 (Бобруйск), а Рубашевский — в ИК-17 (Шклов). Оба отбыли срок полностью (т.к. дни, проведенные в СИЗО, учитывались за полтора дня в колонии).
