Первый музей современного искусства международного уровня Dib Bangkok museum откроется в Бангкоке в декабре этого года. Он основан на собрании местного эксцентричного коллекционера и бизнесмена Петча Осатануграха, скончавшегося два года назад. Сегодня проект ведет его сын, а перестройкой здания бывшего склада под выставочные нужды занимается WHY Architects. В коллекции, насчитывающей более 1000 произведений, есть работы как тайских звезд, так и художников уровня Дэмиена Херста, Фрэнка Стеллы и Такаси Мураками.
Это вторая в этом году крупная инициатива в Таиланде - в феврале начал работать арт-парк Khao Yai Art Forest, созданный местным коллекционером Марисой Чираванонт.
