Прочла классику детективного жанра, "Коллекционер" Фаулза. Если честно, то я прекрасно понимаю, в чем было новаторство данной книги, но пробрала меня только концовка. Интересен авторский слог - книга по сути представляет собой дневник маньяка и похищенной им девушки - художницы Миранды. Очень много интересных размышлений об искусстве, отсылкам к "Буре" Шекспира и так далее. Личная оценка - 7,5 из 10, но не было ощущения поглощением книги и в некоторых моментах скучновато. Например, тот же "Парфюмер" Зюскинда зашёл намного больше.

A Russian Telegram channel with over 700,000 followers is spreading disinformation about Russia's invasion of Ukraine under the guise of providing "objective information" and fact-checking fake news. Its influence extends beyond the platform, with major Russian publications, government officials, and journalists citing the page's posts. On Telegram’s website, it says that Pavel Durov “supports Telegram financially and ideologically while Nikolai (Duvov)’s input is technological.” Currently, the Telegram team is based in Dubai, having moved around from Berlin, London and Singapore after departing Russia. Meanwhile, the company which owns Telegram is registered in the British Virgin Islands. Since January 2022, the SC has received a total of 47 complaints and enquiries on illegal investment schemes promoted through Telegram. These fraudulent schemes offer non-existent investment opportunities, promising very attractive and risk-free returns within a short span of time. They commonly offer unrealistic returns of as high as 1,000% within 24 hours or even within a few hours. This ability to mix the public and the private, as well as the ability to use bots to engage with users has proved to be problematic. In early 2021, a database selling phone numbers pulled from Facebook was selling numbers for $20 per lookup. Similarly, security researchers found a network of deepfake bots on the platform that were generating images of people submitted by users to create non-consensual imagery, some of which involved children. Such instructions could actually endanger people — citizens receive air strike warnings via smartphone alerts.
