По словам супруги брата бизнесмена Екатерины Степурко, около года Дмитрий Степурко якобы угрожает расправой ей, ее сыну и мужу, вплоть до подбрасывания отрубленных свиных голов. Мать Дмитрия Степурко утверждает, что сын будто бы напал на нее и отнял крупную сумму денег. «Банкфаксу» Дмитрий Степурко заявил, что ничего подобного не происходило.

Either way, Durov says that he withdrew his resignation but that he was ousted from his company anyway. Subsequently, control of the company was reportedly handed to oligarchs Alisher Usmanov and Igor Sechin, both allegedly close associates of Russian leader Vladimir Putin.
