در پی درگیری مسلحانه میان دو حزب کُرد کومله زحمتکشان کردستان و کومله کردستان ایران، دو نفر کشته و دو نفر دیگر نیز زخمی شدند. طرفین، یکدیگر را به آغاز درگیری و حمله به کمپ‌های هم متهم کردند. گزارش شده دلیل این درگیری «شکست اتحاد میان دو حزب بوده است.»
از شامگاه روز گذشته اخباری از بروز درگیری بین دو حزب کومله زحمتکشان کردستان به رهبری عمر ایلخانی‌زاده و کومله انقلابی زحمتکشان کردستان ایران به رهبری عبدالله مهتدی منتشر شد.
این درگیری‌ها صبح روز پنج‌شنبه اول تیر در منطقه زرگویز در اقلیم کردستان عراق که پایگاه هر دو حزب کومله است، با تبادل آتش طرفین ادامه پیدا کرد.
