Василию Николаевичу Матяж исполнилось сто лет.

В гости к ветерану с поздравлениями приехали зампредседателя Законодательной Думы края Евгений Солоненко и председатель комитета ЗакДумы по вопросам госустройства и местного самоуправления Александр Яц. Ветеран встретил гостей вместе с родными и близкими у себя дома, в поселке Хехцир. Юбиляр с удовольствием принимал поздравления и беседовал с гостями.

«От всей души, еще раз поздравляем Василия Николаевича с юбилеем! Желаем здоровья, счастья и долгих лет жизни в окружении близких людей! Ветераны — сокровища нашей истории, и их подвиги должны оставаться в памяти поколений», - сказал Евгений Солоненко.
