Бусаргин напомнил, что Саратовская область стала одним из регионов, где реализуется национальный проект «Беспилотные авиационные системы». В местных школах открыли 17 классов для подготовки по этому направлению. Кроме того, будущих операторов дронов начали готовить в вышеуказанном центре практической подготовки. В 2024 году на первый курс поступили 25 юношей и девушек. Ещё 22 человека выбрали эту сферу как дополнительное образование.
Студенты в лаборатории программируют дроны и выполняют различные задания. Здесь же моделируют детали, печатают их на 3D-принтере, а также собирают сами летательные аппараты и учатся ими управлять. До 70 процентов тренировочного процесса проводится на специальных симуляторах.
