Landespolizeipräsident Jörg Kubiessa habe eine Tiefenprüfung über sämtliche Waffen und Munition in allen Dienststellen der sächsischen Polizei angeordnet, die noch bis zum 31. März 2025 andauere, teilte Innenminister Armin Schuster (CDU) auf eine Anfrage der Linke-Fraktion mit.
Die Hochschule der Polizei habe dem Ministerium im September 2024 mitgeteilt, dass bei einer internen Inventur ein vermeintlicher Fehlbestand von Munition und Waffen aufgefallen sei. Darin sei zunächst von einem größeren Inventurfehlbestand von 188.691 Patronen, eine größere Anzahl an Waffen und einigen Schlagstöcken die Rede gewesen.
