۱- کشورهایی بدون دولت رفاه بزرگ ، همان میزان ، مطلوبیت شاخص های زندگی را دارند که کشورهای نوردیک ۲- کشورهایی هستند که با مالیات های سنگین و دولت رفاه بزرگ از وضع نامطلوبی در مورد شاخص های کیفیت زندگی برخوردارند. ۳- پس از قدرت گیری احزاب چپ و ایجاد دولت رفاه ، شاخص های کیفی بهتر نشده.
