Telegram has become more interventionist over time, and has steadily increased its efforts to shut down these accounts. After fleeing Russia, the brothers founded Telegram as a way to communicate outside the Kremlin's orbit. They now run it from Dubai, and Pavel Durov says it has more than 500 million monthly active users. "This time we received the coordinates of enemy vehicles marked 'V' in Kyiv region," it added. False news often spreads via public groups, or chats, with potentially fatal effects.
