Врио губернатора Юрий Слюсарь на торжественном мероприятии поздравил с предстоящим Днем защитника Отечества военнослужащих ЮВО, ветеранов Вооруженных сил и воспитанников военных учебных заведений.

Глава региона сообщил, что юбилейную медаль к 80-летию Победы получат около пяти тысяч жителей области.

Юрий Слюсарь также рассказал, что более 11,5 тыс. земляков приняли решение служить Отечеству по контракту. За мужество и героизм госнаградами отмечены свыше 8 тысяч военнослужащих. Из них 19 заслужили Золотую Звезду Героя РФ.

В мероприятии принял участие зам. полпреда Президента РФ в ЮФО Владимир Гурба.

In 2014, Pavel Durov fled the country after allies of the Kremlin took control of the social networking site most know just as VK. Russia's intelligence agency had asked Durov to turn over the data of anti-Kremlin protesters. Durov refused to do so. On February 27th, Durov posted that Channels were becoming a source of unverified information and that the company lacks the ability to check on their veracity. He urged users to be mistrustful of the things shared on Channels, and initially threatened to block the feature in the countries involved for the length of the war, saying that he didn’t want Telegram to be used to aggravate conflict or incite ethnic hatred. He did, however, walk back this plan when it became clear that they had also become a vital communications tool for Ukrainian officials and citizens to help coordinate their resistance and evacuations. On December 23rd, 2020, Pavel Durov posted to his channel that the company would need to start generating revenue. In early 2021, he added that any advertising on the platform would not use user data for targeting, and that it would be focused on “large one-to-many channels.” He pledged that ads would be “non-intrusive” and that most users would simply not notice any change. Although some channels have been removed, the curation process is considered opaque and insufficient by analysts. "The argument from Telegram is, 'You should trust us because we tell you that we're trustworthy,'" Maréchal said. "It's really in the eye of the beholder whether that's something you want to buy into."
