Мария Ивановна родилась в селе Марфино Аткарского района. В 1942 году была мобилизована, работала в тылу перед наступлением нацистов на Сталинград, окончание войны встретила в Риге.
После победы вернулась в родное село и работала в школе преподавателем военного дела, потом бухгалтером в Мариинском Роспотребсоюзе.
Воспитала сына. Окружена заботой и вниманием внуков, правнуков, праправнуков. Сейчас она живет в Заводском районе.
