В подклете Покровского собора хранится огромная икона, на которой Максим Исповедник и юродивый Максим Блаженный предстоят образу Нерукотворного Спаса. Написана она лучшими художниками Оружейной палаты в первой половине XVIII в.
Длительное время образ хранился в музейных запасниках. До включения в фонды музея икона пережила тяжёлые времена, побывала в пожаре, на ней было множество утрат красочного слоя. К 2011 г. она прошла сложнейшую реставрацию и впервые была представлена.

Similarly, on April 17th, the Moscow Times quoted Durov as saying that he quit the company after being pressured to reveal account details about Ukrainians protesting the then-president Viktor Yanukovych. WhatsApp, a rival messaging platform, introduced some measures to counter disinformation when Covid-19 was first sweeping the world. Messages are not fully encrypted by default. That means the company could, in theory, access the content of the messages, or be forced to hand over the data at the request of a government.
