"Буханка ехала по полю,
По кочкам был неспешный бег.
Водитель не роптал на долю,
В салоне девять человек.

Лежат солдаты штабелями,
И ни один не сделал вздох.
Ушли на небо журавлями,
Призвал ребяток в бою Бог.

Водитель рулит, слёзы льются;
Кусает в кровь свою губу.
Домой живыми не вернутся,
Отдали жизни за страну.

Буханка едет, всё петляя;
Чтоб не ударил вражий дрон.
Ушли солдаты в сады рая,
Им до земли от нас поклон!

И день за днём он на буханке,
Вывозит братские тела.
Эх, если б знали на гражданке,
Какая платится цена…"
