У моторчика диска 4 пина - 3 обмотки и один общий. Обмотки между собой имеют одинаковое сопротивление в несколько Ом, а между обмоткой и общей точкой сопротивление будет отличаться. Такая вот простейшая головоломка

На выходе, очевидно, синусоида. Подключив мотор через преамп, сигнал можно использовать как аудио или CV. Шутки шутками, а крутить диск намного приятнее, чем елозить пальцами по управляющим полоскам на keystep 32

Ещё можно поиграться с весом - на своём убрал два диска и поставил вместо них шайбочки от другого дохлого диска. Конструкция стала легче, так что и крутиться она начала намного резвее
