"ولصاحب مسلم الثبوت كتاب جليل في المنطق سماه سلم العلوم وشرحه جماعة من علماء الهند واعتنت به فضلاء تلك الديار كاعتنائهم بمسلم الثبوت وقد اطلعت له على شرحين ونقلت عنهما في حاشيتي على الخبيصي وما زال الزمان يأتي بالنوادر، هذا العلامة عبد الحكيم والعلامة مير زاهد كلاهما ممن أدرك القرن الحادي عشر ولهما من التأليف ما خضعت لها رقاب الفضلاء وتفاخرت بإدراك دقائقها أذهان النبلاء ولا يعجبني قول أهل ديارنا ليس في الدنيا أعلم من علماء مصر فإن هذا الحكم يتوقف على استقراء تام ولا يتأتى لهم ذلك ولا غيرهم وغاية ما يصل إليه علمنا أفراد من الأقطار القريبة منا لا جميع الأفراد فهذا قول ينادي برعونة قائله ولله در القائل: وما عبر الإنسان عن فضل نفسه ... سوى باعتراف الفضل في كل فاضل وسبحانه العليم بأحوال عباده".

Stocks were more buoyant in Europe, where Frankfurt’s DAX surged 1.4%.
