Больше членов, хороших и разных. БРИКС разбухает, что неизбежно скажется на качестве принимаемых объединением решений. Но у столь быстрого увеличения количества принимаемых государств есть и вполне очевидная картина будущего этой структуры - она вряд ли будет носить черты организации, скорее, это будет просто клуб, где его представители будут собираться и обмениваться мнениями. Ни о каком нормотворчестве в столь раздутом составе говорить явно не приходится. Уже сейчас сложно представить, как могли бы приниматься решения в таком широком составе, а он будет только увеличиваться.
Так что клуб - значит, клуб. Собрались, поговорили, разошлись без обязательств. В целом неплохой формат, если только не ждать от него чего-то эдакого.

You may recall that, back when Facebook started changing WhatsApp’s terms of service, a number of news outlets reported on, and even recommended, switching to Telegram. Pavel Durov even said that users should delete WhatsApp “unless you are cool with all of your photos and messages becoming public one day.” But Telegram can’t be described as a more-secure version of WhatsApp. Telegram has become more interventionist over time, and has steadily increased its efforts to shut down these accounts. But this has also meant that the company has also engaged with lawmakers more generally, although it maintains that it doesn’t do so willingly. For instance, in September 2021, Telegram reportedly blocked a chat bot in support of (Putin critic) Alexei Navalny during Russia’s most recent parliamentary elections. Pavel Durov was quoted at the time saying that the company was obliged to follow a “legitimate” law of the land. He added that as Apple and Google both follow the law, to violate it would give both platforms a reason to boot the messenger from its stores. Now safely in France with his spouse and three of his children, Kliuchnikov scrolls through Telegram to learn about the devastation happening in his home country. In addition, Telegram's architecture limits the ability to slow the spread of false information: the lack of a central public feed, and the fact that comments are easily disabled in channels, reduce the space for public pushback. Lastly, the web previews of t.me links have been given a new look, adding chat backgrounds and design elements from the fully-features Telegram Web client.
