INTERNATIONAL UNITY WITH POLO OBRERO: RESISTANCE AGAINST REPRESSION

We reach out to you at this challenging moment when the movement of the unemployed and social justice in Argentina are under attack. Polo Obrero is an assembly-based national organization linked to the Workers' Party (Partido Obrero), the Left and Workers' Front - Unity (FIT-U), and the assembly of class-based unions. Polo Obrero represents a powerful movement for class independence, free from bosses and bourgeois nationalism. They actively fight for the rights of the unemployed, support independent unions, and all the oppressed, using mobilizations and blockades as tools of struggle, similar to how unions use strikes.

The Situation in Argentina:

Repression and Pressure: The Milei government, supported by the oligarchy, multinational corporations, and international right-wing and fascist groups, is conducting repression against the unemployed movement, class-based unions, and leftist parties. There are restrictions on protests, crackdowns on demonstrations, state surveillance programs, and pro-government internet trolls transitioning from online threats to offline intimidation.

Judicial Persecution: In the face of blatant judicial misconduct and media harassment, we anticipate the arrest of dozens of Polo Obrero activists. One of the greatest threats to comrades is the potential banning of several workers' and political organizations.
