Чтобы не допустить повторения бедствия впредь, филиалы «Казводхоза» загодя начали подготовку к паводковому периоду следующего года. Они ведут работу по обеспечению свободных емкостей в водохранилищах северных, западных, центральных и восточных регионов страны.
На сегодня разработаны графики режима работ водохранилищ Костанайской, Актюбинской и Западно-Казахстанской областей. Из Каратомарского водохранилища в Костанайской области сбрасывается 50 кубометров воды в секунду, из Каргалинского водохранилища – 15 кубометров, из Актюбинского водохранилища – 0,5 кубометра.
