Ледзь не прапусціў юбілей - сёлета ў снежні спаўняецца 100 гадоў з выхаду першага нумара часопіса "Беларускі піонэр" №1 1924 года (ад гэтай даты вядзе адлік гісторыі і сучасны дзіцячы часопіс "Бярозка").
Першы нумар выйшаў пад рэдакцыяй паэта Уладзіміра Дубоўкі. У нумары былі надрукаваня таксама два ягоных вершы, а таксама верш-песня Міхася Чарота, апавяданне Міхася Зарэцкага і творы іншых папулярных у 1920-я гады аўтараў.
Па легендзе, вокладка першага нумара выклікала пытанні ў кіраўніцтва БССР, бо ў завастрэнні сярпа бачылася стрэлка нападу на Вільню, што падалося занадта ваяўнічым пасылам (ну яшчэ там на карце БССР два Барысавы).
