Авторы — уже заметный драматург Сергей Третьяков и юный режиссёр Сергей Эйзенштейн. Режиссёр поместил артистов в действующий цех газового завода, и, по воспоминаниям очевидцев, сам не мог отличить актёров от рабочих, заступающих на смену. Зрители постановку не поняли, на театральной сцене спектакль также не прижился.
В почти годовщину мы прочитаем эту пьесу на радио.
