По данным спецслужб, после нападения подозреваемый хотел покинуть Германию и присоединиться к Исламскому государству в одной из стран Ближнего Востока.
По данным немецких СМИ, вместе с уроженцем Чечни силовики задержали еще пять сообщников, вероятно, участников ячейки ИГ. Еще двое мужчин успели покинуть Германию, они объявлены в розыск. Немецкие спецслужбы не опровергли и не подтвердили информацию о других подозреваемых.
