Тогда его родители ещё не знали, что отца, Ивана Фёдорова Дудкина, скоро ждёт австрийский плен и что вся забота об огромной семье в самые трудные годы войны и революции ляжет на мать, Ксению Прокопиеву, в девичестве Денисову (из Васильевской). Едва ли кто-то, глядя на новорождённого младенца, мог представить, какая тяжёлая жизнь ему уготована - 10 лет лагерей за полярным кругом, подорванное здоровье и ранняя смерть в 51 год… Грустно, что он так и не увидел, как его дочери повзрослели и вышли замуж, и никогда не держал на руках своих внучат, которые совершенно утратили язык своих дедов и прадедов.
