Возложил венок к Монументу Победы, который находится в центре города-героя Минска.

В следующем году мы отметим великую дату — 80-летнюю годовщину Победы в Великой Отечественной войне. В Республике Беларусь бережно хранят нашу общую историю и память о бессмертном подвиге наших сограждан. Храбрые сыны белорусской земли вместе с нашими дедами и прадедами сражались с фашизмом за нашу Родину. Первый Герой Советского Союза из народа саха, Фёдор Кузьмич Попов, похоронен здесь, на белорусской земле. Он погиб, освобождая Беларусь от немецко-фашистских захватчиков.

Наш священный долг — чтить, беречь и приумножать вечную память защитников Отечества.

On Feb. 27, however, he admitted from his Russian-language account that "Telegram channels are increasingly becoming a source of unverified information related to Ukrainian events." The account, "War on Fakes," was created on February 24, the same day Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a "special military operation" and troops began invading Ukraine. The page is rife with disinformation, according to The Atlantic Council's Digital Forensic Research Lab, which studies digital extremism and published a report examining the channel. The message was not authentic, with the real Zelenskiy soon denying the claim on his official Telegram channel, but the incident highlighted a major problem: disinformation quickly spreads unchecked on the encrypted app. The War on Fakes channel has repeatedly attempted to push conspiracies that footage from Ukraine is somehow being falsified. One post on the channel from February 24 claimed without evidence that a widely viewed photo of a Ukrainian woman injured in an airstrike in the city of Chuhuiv was doctored and that the woman was seen in a different photo days later without injuries. The post, which has over 600,000 views, also baselessly claimed that the woman's blood was actually makeup or grape juice. What distinguishes the app from competitors is its use of what's known as channels: Public or private feeds of photos and videos that can be set up by one person or an organization. The channels have become popular with on-the-ground journalists, aid workers and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who broadcasts on a Telegram channel. The channels can be followed by an unlimited number of people. Unlike Facebook, Twitter and other popular social networks, there is no advertising on Telegram and the flow of information is not driven by an algorithm.
