Российские миллиардеры чаще добиваются снятия санкций в ЕС
🇪🇺 Европейский союз оказался юрисдикцией, где больше всего россиян смогли добиться отмены санкционных ограничений, сообщает RTVI со ссылкой на собственные подсчёты. Из 42 случаев снятия санкций с российских миллиардеров, топ-менеджеров и их родственников, 18 пришлись именно на ЕС.
🇨🇦 На втором месте — Канада: там из 16 рассмотренных дел санкции были сняты в девяти случаях, а в семи — оставлены в силе.
🇺🇸Третью строчку занимает США, где санкции были отменены в шести случаях, а ещё двоим заявителям отказали.

As the war in Ukraine rages, the messaging app Telegram has emerged as the go-to place for unfiltered live war updates for both Ukrainian refugees and increasingly isolated Russians alike. Telegram was co-founded by Pavel and Nikolai Durov, the brothers who had previously created VKontakte. VK is Russia’s equivalent of Facebook, a social network used for public and private messaging, audio and video sharing as well as online gaming. In January, SimpleWeb reported that VK was Russia’s fourth most-visited website, after Yandex, YouTube and Google’s Russian-language homepage. In 2016, Forbes’ Michael Solomon described Pavel Durov (pictured, below) as the “Mark Zuckerberg of Russia.” Stocks dropped on Friday afternoon, as gains made earlier in the day on hopes for diplomatic progress between Russia and Ukraine turned to losses. Technology stocks were hit particularly hard by higher bond yields. "There are a lot of things that Telegram could have been doing this whole time. And they know exactly what they are and they've chosen not to do them. That's why I don't trust them," she said. Groups are also not fully encrypted, end-to-end. This includes private groups. Private groups cannot be seen by other Telegram users, but Telegram itself can see the groups and all of the communications that you have in them. All of the same risks and warnings about channels can be applied to groups.
