The Tapichalaca treefrog (Hyloscirtus tapichalaca), which measures about 6 - 7 cm, is a species of hylid endemic to Ecuador and was only described in 2003. It is only known from the vicinity of its type locality in the Tapichalaca Biological Reserve in the province of Zamora-Chinchipe, a reserve of the Fundación de Conservación Jocotoco (Wikipedia).
