🇷🇺🇨🇫 Накануне Рождества, 6 января 2025 года, президент Центральноафриканской Республики посетил Русский дом в столице страны, Банги. Его визит был посвящён поздравлению российских граждан, работающих в ЦАР, с великим праздником Рождества Христова.
В Русском доме состоялся праздничный вечер, организованный для россиян, живущих и трудящихся в стране. Торжественную атмосферу дополнило видеообращение митрополита Константина, Экзарха Африки от Русской Православной Церкви, специально направленное для соотечественников и жителей ЦАР.

🇨🇫🇷🇺 À la veille de Noël orthodoxe, le 6 janvier 2025, le président de la République centrafricaine a rendu visite à la Maison russe dans la capitale du pays, Bangui. Cette visite avait pour objectif de présenter ses vœux aux citoyens russes travaillant en République centrafricaine à l'occasion de la grande fête de Noël.
Un soir de célébration a été organisé à la Maison russe pour les Russes vivant et travaillant dans le pays. L'événement a été enrichi par un message vidéo de Métropolite Constantin, Exarque d'Afrique de l'Église orthodoxe russe, spécialement adressé aux compatriotes et aux habitants de la République centrafricaine.

Right now the digital security needs of Russians and Ukrainians are very different, and they lead to very different caveats about how to mitigate the risks associated with using Telegram. For Ukrainians in Ukraine, whose physical safety is at risk because they are in a war zone, digital security is probably not their highest priority. They may value access to news and communication with their loved ones over making sure that all of their communications are encrypted in such a manner that they are indecipherable to Telegram, its employees, or governments with court orders. Given the pro-privacy stance of the platform, it’s taken as a given that it’ll be used for a number of reasons, not all of them good. And Telegram has been attached to a fair few scandals related to terrorism, sexual exploitation and crime. Back in 2015, Vox described Telegram as “ISIS’ app of choice,” saying that the platform’s real use is the ability to use channels to distribute material to large groups at once. Telegram has acted to remove public channels affiliated with terrorism, but Pavel Durov reiterated that he had no business snooping on private conversations. On February 27th, Durov posted that Channels were becoming a source of unverified information and that the company lacks the ability to check on their veracity. He urged users to be mistrustful of the things shared on Channels, and initially threatened to block the feature in the countries involved for the length of the war, saying that he didn’t want Telegram to be used to aggravate conflict or incite ethnic hatred. He did, however, walk back this plan when it became clear that they had also become a vital communications tool for Ukrainian officials and citizens to help coordinate their resistance and evacuations. As a result, the pandemic saw many newcomers to Telegram, including prominent anti-vaccine activists who used the app's hands-off approach to share false information on shots, a study from the Institute for Strategic Dialogue shows. "Markets were cheering this economic recovery and return to strong economic growth, but the cheers will turn to tears if the inflation outbreak pushes businesses and consumers to the brink of recession," he added.
