Шон Ван снял искреннюю историю про себя и т.н. поколение MySpace. 13-летний герой его фильма ругается с сестрой, показывает свой характер маме, мило коннектится со своей бабушкой, влюбляется, смотрит видео как целоваться, учится кататься на скейте, ругается со своими друзьями и заводит новых. В общем, живет обычную подростковую жизнь.
Большой плюс в том, что Ван, несмотря на то, что это его история, смог взять дистанцию и честно посмотреть на 13-летнего себя. Его герой неприлизанный, неидеальный. А кажется, что когда ты пишешь мемуары, есть такой соблазн. Его герой очень живой — он может быть милым, порой он бесит своими поступками, он неуверенный в себе, из-за чего отталкивает людей от себя, он совершает ошибки и разные глупости, но учится выражать свои эмоции, быть открытым к миру. Он такой очень настоящий.

Telegram has become more interventionist over time, and has steadily increased its efforts to shut down these accounts. But this has also meant that the company has also engaged with lawmakers more generally, although it maintains that it doesn’t do so willingly. On Telegram’s website, it says that Pavel Durov “supports Telegram financially and ideologically while Nikolai (Duvov)’s input is technological.” Currently, the Telegram team is based in Dubai, having moved around from Berlin, London and Singapore after departing Russia. Meanwhile, the company which owns Telegram is registered in the British Virgin Islands. Also in the latest update is the ability for users to create a unique @username from the Settings page, providing others with an easy way to contact them via Search or their t.me/username link without sharing their phone number. He said that since his platform does not have the capacity to check all channels, it may restrict some in Russia and Ukraine "for the duration of the conflict," but then reversed course hours later after many users complained that Telegram was an important source of information. What distinguishes the app from competitors is its use of what's known as channels: Public or private feeds of photos and videos that can be set up by one person or an organization. The channels have become popular with on-the-ground journalists, aid workers and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who broadcasts on a Telegram channel. The channels can be followed by an unlimited number of people. Unlike Facebook, Twitter and other popular social networks, there is no advertising on Telegram and the flow of information is not driven by an algorithm.
