Власти Гренландии не рассматривают вопрос присоединения к США, заявил местный депутат Куно Фенкер.
Остров готов заключить соглашение или договор свободной ассоциации с Данией и Штатами, однако присоединение к США не подлежит обсуждению, отметил Фенкер.
По словам депутата, это связано со стремлением острова к экономической независимости от королевства. Гренландии необходимо избавляться от ведущей роли рыбной промышленности и делать упор на добычу полезных ископаемых, добавил Фенкер.
Также депутат добавил, что остров желает вести внешнеполитические вопросы без участия Дании.
