Как за четыре века из «китайской травы», привезенной в 1638 году в подарок царю Михаилу Федоровичу, чай превратился в неотъемлемую часть русской жизни? Выставка демонстрирует развитие традиций и культуры чаепития, дошедших до наших дней.
Чай был не только значимым элементом быта, но и двигателем экономики: торговля способствовала созданию транспортных связей между Россией и Китаем.
Большинство из 300 экспонатов никогда прежде не покидали фонды Музеев Московского Кремля.
