У татар, в Поволжье, традиция тамги из-за влияния Ислама прерывается в 16 веке (меня в этом поправляют подписчики, жду новых данных). У них стало более престижным написание собственного имени и имëн предков арабицей (кольца, личные предметы, памятники), а тамги вышли, постепенно, из употребления...
