В 2025 году для жителей Чукотки региональные власти приобретут дополнительно два глиссера (аэролодки) – судно на воздушной подушке, приводимое в движение винтом. Глиссеры будут использоваться в межсезонье для транспортного сообщения через Анадырский лиман.
За счет отсутствия погружных элементов в воду аэролодки являются универсальным транспортом, который может передвигаться как по обычным рекам, озерам, прибрежной морской зоне, так и по мелководью, заболоченным областям, льду, снегу.
