Согласно документу, всего в бундесвере 312 танков Leopard 2 различных моделей, из них 99 находились в ремонте в мае прошлого года, а один списан. Бундесвер мог бы передать Киеву 19 моделей Leopard 2A5, они используются во время боевых учений и имитируют танки противника во время маневров.
Накануне главы МИД Эстонии, Латвии и Литвы обратились к Германии с призывом поставить танки Leopard Украине.
