«Мы очень обеспокоены тем, что Китай рассматривает возможность оказания летальной поддержки России в ее агрессии против Украины, и я ясно дал понять, что это будет иметь серьезные последствия для наших отношений», – сказал он.
По данным издания, американские чиновники также считают, что Китай может оказывать России нелетальную военную помощь. Официальные лица отказались сообщить подробности, но заявили, что она может включать снаряжение для весеннего наступления, такое как униформа или бронежилеты.
