Для оценки ситуации в данной сфере эксперты рассчитали долю расходов семей на ЖКУ в совокупных потребительских расходах в субъектах РФ. Расходы на ЖКУ для целей исследования включают расходы на жилищно-коммунальные услуги и топливо для освещения и отопления жилья. На основании этих данных был составлен рейтинг субъектов РФ по доле расходов населения на ЖКУ.
По итогу данного исследования выяснилось, что жители области тратят на ЖКУ 11.4% своих доходов, то есть примерно 4 324,1 рубля в месяц.
