Современный трамвайный путь – это путь с плавным и практически бесшумным ходом вагонов. Важную роль в его создании, помимо «подушки» из песка и щебня, играют рельсы. Их сваривают алюминотермитным методом, а затем сварочный шов шлифуют. Так получается бесстыковой путь.

Трамвайный путь в микрорайоне Левенцовский имеет более тысячи стыков. Все они будут «соединены» с помощью алюминотермитной сварки, что позволит сделать движение трамваев более плавным, тихим и комфортным.

Кстати, наши друзья – проект «Новый трамвай Краснодара» – используют этот же метод сварки при строительстве трамвайных линий кубанской столицы 🛤
