11 лет назад, 6 февраля 2014 года, в центре Олимпийского парка Сочи открылась Резиденция Российского Деда Мороза, которая на протяжении ХХII Зимних Олимпийских и ХI Зимних Паралимпийских Игр объединяла болельщиков и стала самой заметной и посещаемой площадкой.

При резиденции в Сочи работала Мастерская традиционных искусств Русского Севера. Тысячи российских и иностранных туристов ежедневно посещали мастерскую, где знакомились с работой кружевниц, мастеров по чернению серебра и шемогодской резьбы по бересте.

За время пребывания в Сочи Дед Мороз стал самым активным болельщиком, поддерживая на трибунах российскую сборную.
