As a New Year's gift to ourselves, we got a Patreon!
We have repeatedly said that the participants of the Solidarity Zone do not receive payment for their work — we all participate in the project on a volunteer basis. However, more and more work is being done. Most of the participants do not find time for paid work, plunging headlong into the Solidarity Zone.
We decided it wasn't fair. To compensate a little for the work of the participants, we are starting a Patreon. All donations made through Patreon, we plan to share equally among the participants.
Other details of the Solidarity Zone will continue to be used solely for the benefit of the persecuted, whom we support or want to support.
Read more about us and the criteria for help here.
Your subscription to Patreon will be a great gift for the participants of the Solidarity Zone on the occasion of the new year, which, we believe, will be able to please us with the liberation of territories and prisoners!

The Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) had carried out a similar exercise in 2017 in a matter related to circulation of messages through WhatsApp. As the war in Ukraine rages, the messaging app Telegram has emerged as the go-to place for unfiltered live war updates for both Ukrainian refugees and increasingly isolated Russians alike. In 2014, Pavel Durov fled the country after allies of the Kremlin took control of the social networking site most know just as VK. Russia's intelligence agency had asked Durov to turn over the data of anti-Kremlin protesters. Durov refused to do so. At the start of 2018, the company attempted to launch an Initial Coin Offering (ICO) which would enable it to enable payments (and earn the cash that comes from doing so). The initial signals were promising, especially given Telegram’s user base is already fairly crypto-savvy. It raised an initial tranche of cash – worth more than a billion dollars – to help develop the coin before opening sales to the public. Unfortunately, third-party sales of coins bought in those initial fundraising rounds raised the ire of the SEC, which brought the hammer down on the whole operation. In 2020, officials ordered Telegram to pay a fine of $18.5 million and hand back much of the cash that it had raised. "This time we received the coordinates of enemy vehicles marked 'V' in Kyiv region," it added.
