И выяснили, что владельцы собак в целом были более физически и социально активны (еще бы, наличие собаки – это уже тема для разговора с совершенно незнакомыми людьми часа на полтора). А это, как считается, снижает риск возникновения деменции и прочих подобных расстройств. Причем у людей старше 65 лет он снижается на 40%!
А вот присутствие кошки в доме существенного влияния на такие состояния не показало, увы.
