Он ведёт свою историю с 19 сентября 1935 года, когда в Батайске — небольшом городке близ Ростова-на-Дону — были организованы Курсы высшей лётной подготовки.
С тех пор наше учебное заведение сменило 5 городов, 6 названий, выпустило тысячи специстов, но одно остаётся неизменным — оно по прежнему является одной из лучших образовательных организаций гражданской авиации в стране и, будем надеяться, отпразднует ещё множество годовщин.
