В Камышинский городской суд направлено уголовное дело против 45-летнего жителя Волгоградской области, обвиняемого в незаконной вырубке деревьев на землях лесного фонда. Прокуратура утверждает, что мужчина, расширяя участок для сельхозпроизводства, выкорчевал 29 сосен, 5 дубов, 1 ясень, а также несколько кленов, вязов и лиственных пород без разрешительных документов.
По данным следствия, работы велись бульдозером в 108-м квартале Верхне-Липовского лесничества. Ущерб оценивается в более чем 2,5 миллиона рублей. Кроме уголовного наказания, прокуратура требует взыскать эту сумму в качестве компенсации.
Фигуранту грозит до 7 лет лишения свободы. Суд рассмотрит дело в ближайшее время.

Official government accounts have also spread fake fact checks. An official Twitter account for the Russia diplomatic mission in Geneva shared a fake debunking video claiming without evidence that "Western and Ukrainian media are creating thousands of fake news on Russia every day." The video, which has amassed almost 30,000 views, offered a "how-to" spot misinformation. On February 27th, Durov posted that Channels were becoming a source of unverified information and that the company lacks the ability to check on their veracity. He urged users to be mistrustful of the things shared on Channels, and initially threatened to block the feature in the countries involved for the length of the war, saying that he didn’t want Telegram to be used to aggravate conflict or incite ethnic hatred. He did, however, walk back this plan when it became clear that they had also become a vital communications tool for Ukrainian officials and citizens to help coordinate their resistance and evacuations. The company maintains that it cannot act against individual or group chats, which are “private amongst their participants,” but it will respond to requests in relation to sticker sets, channels and bots which are publicly available. During the invasion of Ukraine, Pavel Durov has wrestled with this issue a lot more prominently than he has before. Channels like Donbass Insider and Bellum Acta, as reported by Foreign Policy, started pumping out pro-Russian propaganda as the invasion began. So much so that the Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council issued a statement labeling which accounts are Russian-backed. Ukrainian officials, in potential violation of the Geneva Convention, have shared imagery of dead and captured Russian soldiers on the platform. In a statement, the regulator said the search and seizure operation was carried out against seven individuals and one corporate entity at multiple locations in Ahmedabad and Bhavnagar in Gujarat, Neemuch in Madhya Pradesh, Delhi, and Mumbai. Under the Sebi Act, the regulator has the power to carry out search and seizure of books, registers, documents including electronics and digital devices from any person associated with the securities market.
