In February 2014, the Ukrainian people ousted pro-Russian president Viktor Yanukovych, prompting Russia to invade and annex the Crimean peninsula. In the United States, Telegram's lower public profile has helped it mostly avoid high level scrutiny from Congress, but it has not gone unnoticed. But it has "disclosed 0 bytes of user data to third parties, including governments," Telegram states on its website. Sebi said data, emails and other documents are being retrieved from the seized devices and detailed investigation is in progress.
