#OTD Танк Т-84 принят на вооружение Украинской армии Постановлением Кабинета Министров Украины №237-5 от 08.02.2000 г.
В связи с нехваткой средств сформировать полноценные подразделения, вооруженные танками Т-84 (Объект 478ДУ9), который был принят на вооружение Украинской армии Постановлением Кабинета Министров Украины №237-5 от 08.02.2000 г. не удалось. Была изготовлена и поставлена в войска только установочная партия танков из 10 единиц.
Даже поставленные 10 машин государство оплатить не смогло. Из них 4 продали в США в комплектации с доработанным КАЗ «Дрозд-1» (478БЕМ1) и кондиционером под обозначением Т-80УД.
